Princess T: Mum, I’m just thinking about Noah’s ark and the flood. Because God is so big and strong, I think the flood must have been two drops of tears from his eyes while watching how bad the world is.
So we were driving back home after church and Princess T was telling me the story of Noah’s ark. She had been reflecting on it and shared her thoughts. I was really impressed with her effort at meditation and I will like to share with you all dear readers my response and conversation with her.
- The word is a seed
For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God
1 Peter 1 v 23
Recently, a dear friend was sharing with me how the Spirit of God has been instructing her to store up God’s word in the hearts of her children as a raw material.
Not just for children but also for us all, the word is a seed that grows. We need to continually put in the seed, nurture and grow it to see the results and effects of the word.
- Jesus Himself is the word
The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only Son
John 1 v 14
As we start to learn about the word, it is imperative that we understand that Jesus Himself is the word of God. He came in human flesh and saved us.
- The word is alive
For the word of God is alive and active
Hebrews 4 v 12
The word (Jesus ) continues to live and is alive even today. This should make us take the word as medicine that has active ingredients and able to heal and make right.
- Store up the word in you
Store up the word in your heart as a raw material, a seed that will grow. Help your children and family store up the word as a seed because the word will definitely grown and produce fruits.
We shall continue this discussion next week. To help you and your family constantly keep the word of God before your eyes, we’ve designed a really useful resource called the 52 weekly bible verses to help you learn and meditate on at least one scripture each week.

I trust you will find this very useful and a blessing to your family. Please share with your family and friends. I leave you with the peace of God!
As the saying goes, Lion no dey born goat……Princess T is walking in her mother’s shoes. Some deep reflection there.
